I am very excited about the most recent changes with Uri Internationals compensation plan. Uri was great before for the new guy but now they have made it possible for an even better pay out in the beginning, middle, and top ranks.

This is what is exciting: even at the lowest rank (Affiliate) you can make a 40% commission on all Fast Start Packages. The top package would pay out a commission of $600!! NICE! As a Supervisor or above you get commissions on the Fast Start Packages for 4 generations! (It’s really hard not to put an exclamation point after everything, it’s just that good!) 1st generation would be 40%, 2nd would be 10%, 3rd would be 5%, and 4th would be 5%! Wow, that stacks up.

Christian home business - Uri InternationalAAhhh, the woman. Since I am a woman I look to this passage and wonder does that describe me at all?! I love this woman and want to BE her. Look at the following verses:

Vs. 11 – the heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain.

Vs. 13 – she seeks wool and flax, and willingly works with her hands.

vs. 15 – She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, and a portion for her maidservants.

Vs. 16 – She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard.

Vs. 18 – She perceives that her merchandise (profit) is good, And her lamp does not go out by night.

Vs. 24 – She makes linen garments and sells them, And supplies sashes for the merchants.

Vs. 31 – give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates.

What do I do, my kids are such picky eaters and I can’t get them to eat their fruits and vegetables?! I think this must be a very common complaint among parents in this day and age. Do you think that Laura Ingalls Wilder’s mom said that to her girlfriends when they met for tea socials? Probably not. Food has become an “issue” for parents. Sugar is in EVERYTHING, are abundant, and that is what kids love. Even when I try to make changes in my home by not serving these kinds of food, they just get it elsewhere. Our school frequently rewards their students with food (ice cream sandwiches if they earn their hawk dollars, root beer float parties if they meet certain standards in class, and pizza lunch with the principle if they go above and beyond in some area of academics). Even my post office keeps a bowl of candy at the register for any “little” customer that visits. Ugh!!! There is no way to eliminate all these from my kid’s diet. I don’t want to be a tyrant and tell them “no” to everything, so what is my line of defense?

What would Do? This has become a question used by many to decide what they themselves should do in their current situation. I have even seen the initials on different pieces of jewelry as a reminder to the individual to ask and seek out the answers when a need for guidance arises. At my last this “question” was brought up as a useful tool to keep ourselves pure in what we do. It did not set well with me but I couldn’t put my finger on why, while I was sitting there. Now I can’t let it go till I know “why”. It seems reasonable, what better person to model our behavior after, right? After all, the bible says we are “to be conformed to the likeness of His Son.” Ro. 8;29. So what’s the big deal?

bearingfruit-God's love-freedom 5:13-14 “For you are called to , brothers; only don’t use this as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love. For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Boy, if loving meant that I could just throw my arms around that someone and give a great big hug alongside the words “I love you”, I would be a pro at loving others! Why is it that loving someone well doesn’t always look that way? For me, that’s a selfish kind of love, what I mean is, it comes as a natural act of affection. It is in fact a characteristic of my own self-love. Self-love is defined as “an undue sparing of self, with the primary concern that things be easy and pleasant for one’s self” AAHHHG! Does that mean love can get a little uncomfortable?! I guess the cross is the perfect picture of uncomfortable love. Read the rest of this entry
