Sounds kind of strange to make eating more whole food as my new year’s resolution when it is almost the end of June! How many of us make them in January and they are long forgotten by June. I think it is the perfect time to refocus on what is important to begin again in our lives.  The sun is out the weather is changing with the new season. What do you need to commit or recommit to doing in your life?
Mine? Eat more organic whole foods. Thankfully I have been able to implement a convenient way to do that with ’s
‘The Feast’.
Exercise more! I felt the tug to do this when I had over eaten on Father’s day. I was laying in bed miserable, and I had a notion come to mind that was not my own. I knew it was not mine because it involved getting out of bed and doing sit ups! I obeyed, and felt so much better. I have since started a routine of walking, sit ups, and pushups – YEAH!
Keeping to my schedule book! Being more diligent about writing down what I need to do and then following it. As a
URI International distributer this is a must. Time to focus!
Read more with my kids. They enjoy reading so much more when I am listeningJ
Doug Addison says “Little changes done consistently lead to your destiny.” I’m going for it Doug! Even if I have to make a new year’s resolution every month!!

When I was growing up I used to visit my aunt’s family on summer vacations and Easter breaks. She had 3 small children that I would help out with and she ran a daycare out of her home for awhile. She got totally hooked on soap operas and her husband hated them so she would watch them in secrecy…..well, everyone knew but her husband. I can remember a time her husband came home and asked about her day and her kids answered for her with something like - “there is only so much she can do with the Days of our Lives, especially when she has , it’s really surprising she isn’t in General Hospital!” He looked at them, completely baffled by what they were saying. The rest of us had a great laugh!

This poem written by reminded me of that time, check it out:)

“Oh, Lord, who said there’s just One Life to Live?

I’m sure I’m livin’ a thousand!

The few times I do awake to pray

start arousin’!

Uh, oh! No time for quiet now

Think quick! The day’s beginnin’!

I’ll try to recall all Oprah’s advice…

Then my head starts spinnin’.

Make those younguns religious, cautious but not suspicious

And watch their self-esteem!

Yet you be professional, look sensational

And keep that house squeaky clean!

And perish the thought you’ forget the needs

Of that marvelous man you married

Why, throw yourself before him when he raises his eyebrows

And quit thinking, “I’d rather be buried!”

Oops, now I’m late for work, the kids hate their clothes

And the baby’s got a cough

As the World Turns so quickly, I’m severely tempted

To take the next jump off.

Surely they’re kiddin’, Is there anyone left

Who’s honestly Young and Restless

As for me, I feel centuries old, completely worn out

And cellulite infested!

It’s gonna take more than Ryan’s Hope for his woman to survive.

I cannot abide another deep breath of these Days of our lives!

Superwoman? She’s a curse. To fake her is impossible!

And if I try for one more day, I’ll wind up in General Hospital!

I’ve gotta be here, I’ve gotta be there

I frankly cannot face it.

Rescue me from havoc, please, show me what is basic!

Slow me down, Lord, save this life and keep my eyes on You.

Satan can have this rat race world-

Thank God, I’m just passin’ through.”

If you have been visiting this site recently then you know that I have been dealing with health issues like , Systemic , and . With all of these issues I have learned that an whole food diet makes a tremendous difference in how I feel on a day by day basis. In other words, if I eat badly, I feel bad! This is one of the reasons I have fallen in love with Uri International products. It is a quick, convenient, inexpensive way to get into my diet!

is a horrible thing! The first time I had ever heard of it was when the movie “Rain man” came out with Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise. Somehow I don’t think Hollywood gave a true picture of how very awful this disease could be. I watched a 4year old boy last year that had a “mild” case of and it was difficult, but I actually felt blessed that he was not as severe as some can be. We had new heating and air put in our home while I was doing daycare, so I warned the workers that this little boy behaved “different “from the other kids. Turned out one of the workers had a young adult child that was “severely” autistic. He said there was no relationship at all, no response on her part whatsoever. It broke my heart to think of this young woman trapped in her own mind with no emotional connection with others. Here is what is interesting, this father stood very firm in his belief that it was all the ‘pink drink’ (antibiotics) that was given to her as a young child for ear infections that caused the !

, muscle aches, dizziness, and cold intolerance – I thought all of this was brought on by a combination of Systemic and severe , but maybe not! After going over my lab results with my doctor and explaining the symptoms I have been experiencing, she felt I had . AAGGHH! I don’t know anything about . So I hit the books! John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father “

This verse came to mind as I was reading an email that I receive daily from Ravi Zacherias Institutional Ministries in Atlanta GA. Margaret Manning wrote “We too can bring , call powers and principalities into justice, bring order to chaos, and new life to what was dead.” WOW! This seems like tall order!! How is this even possible when I can’t even get out the door in time to get my kids to school. But there it is….”I can’t”. Those two words that say so much. How often do we speak those words over ourselves without a second thought.
How many times have you heard statements like: “I can’t believe how sick she is, she will never recover from that!”, “I can’t lose this weight”, “I can’t get my house in order and get the kids to do their homework, its hopeless!”, “I can’t stay in a dead marriage any longer”. A lot of “I can’t” that we hear or say in our everyday life, does anyone else feel STIFLED?!
That stifling feeling is the saying “I CAN!!” How often do we fail before we even begin because we started with “I can’t”. The truth is…we can’t, in our own strength, we can do nothing! Does this experiential truth stop us? It usually does, but if we meditate on the Truth of God - His word, we see verses like Ro. 4:20-22 “He (Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He (God) had promised He (God) was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him (Abraham) for righteousness.”
It is so easy for me to decide ‘I can’t’ when it is something that I am afraid of or don’t want to do in the first place. James 3:14 says “But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.” I CAN when I am walking in the Spirit by His strength! To say differently is to ‘lie against the truth’. AAWWWW, the power of the tongue. James 3:8-10 says “But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.” I believe that to say I can’t is to curse myself to fail by my own limitations when I could instead bless my God by showing ‘He can’ and give Him the glory!
I have lived so many “I can’ts” as a wife, mother, friend, and in my . I want to be done with that and live by the Power of the ! 1 Pet. 5:10 & 11 says “Now the God of all grace, who called ME to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support ME after I have suffered a little. To Him be the dominion forever. Amen.” Obviously I have personalized that verse. Do you need to personalize that verse too? Do you struggle with all the things that you can’t do in life? Let me encourage you….God has a plan for you in your relationships, in your business, in your very day to day living! Seek Him first and He will establish and strengthen you for that good work!!
Be blessed:)

Shortly after being told I had Systemic and to stay away from foods like wheat, corn, dairy, and chicken, I visited a health food store and in my conversation with the owner she asked “are you ?” I think my reaction was “huh?!” Let’s face it, up until a year ago I was not very nutritional minded! I learned that gluten is the protein found in grains like wheat, rye, and barley. People can be VERY sensitive to gluten especially those who already have a problem with Albicans.

I don’t think I had a gluten problem until I had a problem, or maybe I didn’t have a problem until I had a gluten problem. Either way, they seemed to go together for me. The most common explanation given for this is through the ‘.’  This occurs when there is a disruption of the healthy and normal lining of the intestines. destructs this lining by piercing the walls of the gut, thereby causing it to become more porous and permeable to a multitude of macromolecules, toxins, and antigens—all of which are elements that cause inflammatory and sudden allergic reactions to foods like gluten. Well, I went to see my doctor a couple weeks ago. I have been feeling really bad lately and wondering if I am going backward instead of forward with this treatment. I was doing so well for so long; I thought “I got this thing licked!” So what happened next? I started to get lax with my diet and treatment! I cut back with the and allowed my busy schedule to dictate my diet. Now I am paying for it!!

I have that feeling, dizziness, muscle aches, trouble concentrating (trouble writing this article!) and some added symptoms of muscle twitching and sometimes fuzzy vision. UGH!!! I want this to be over! I went back to my books and one says I need to go back to Phase II Diet religiously. I think that was my problem to start with – I followed it RELIGIOUSLY and then got self-righteous! What’s God say? Pride comes before the fall. Here I am on the ground needing to be picked up again! Maybe when we are in a humble state we are so low we don’t have room to fall:)

I go back this week for the blood test results for , vitamin B12, vitamin D, hormones, and who knows what else? I have been told to start a parasite cleanse again (I did that at the beginning of this treatment) and of course watch the diet! No more excuses (my business mentor says they are just well planned lies! She’s right).

So here I am being vulnerable and wanting encouragement, when my purpose for this blog was to encourage others! Tell me some of your success stories!! PPLLLEASSSE!
