I am so excited I just finished this painting for my friend Tera. Over a year ago, Tera was pregnant with little Mia and she asked me to paint something for the baby. Well, shortly after that, it was time to celebrate. I got engaged. And I was caught up in a whirlwind of planning, organizing and designing! getting married was like one giant art project! I'll post more on that later, with pictures too, I promise! But with all the wedding planning, putting the house on the market, finding an apartment, moving (yes, I moved from LA to Orange County)...not to mention actually getting married and going on a honeymoon (Vieques in Puerto Rico-I'll post on that too!) I only just now found the time to do this painting.
God's timing is always perfect. In the interim, I've been taking an awesome mixed media class with Suzi Blu. Well, Suzi's class has been an massive inspiration! Suzi's classes, her teaching, and her expressive personality have sparked somethin' awesome. All that and I'm learning all these cool techniques!
And so with that, I've finished this piece, "Mia Sings"
