more apron love

Here's the newest addition to my apron collection.  I actually made one as a gift for a friend but loved this one so much I made one for myself with the leftover fabric.  Yay for yardage.  And very exciting for me, as a first-timer to the method, I didn't even use a pattern!

I used this vintage apron from my collection as the "pattern."  I just folded it in half on the fold of the cherry print  fabric and cut out about 1/2 inch more for a seam allowance.  Easy peasy and fun.  Now I know why aprons we the go-to project for beginners in Home Ec classes back in the day.  It's so rewarding to start and finish a project in just an hour or two.

Back to the kitchen!

  15. Andee, your aprons are so beautifully done!

Thank you so much for linking up to last week's "A Little Birdie Told Me...". My apologies for the belated vist -- with July 4 falling on a Monday, it threw my whole schedule off, and I'm just now making the rounds to visit the party-goers from that week. Best, Jenn
