Candida fungusis found in various parts of the body such as mouth, skin, intestines and even the vagina. It has been proven that under normal conditions, the fungus resides at least 80% of humans. Learning about whole food nutrition can be a daunting task, there is so much to know about how the body works and what food promotes good health. There are so many books and opinions - who can you really believe? We really have to use good discernment in our search for knowledge. Last week I was talking with a group of women and they were curious how I had lost about 25 pounds in just a little over a months time. I of course began telling them about my struggle with Systemic Candida and the very strict diet I should follow in order to regain proper balance in my body. She instantly rejected it as anything good because of it being a saturated fat which has been known to be bad for the heart. It was so cool to be able to talk to her about it and explain a little of the theory of why it is actually very good for you according to this book. I am not sure I convinced her that coconut oil was a good thing, in the small amount of time we had, (and I am only on chapter 4 of the book) but I am sure that I gave her some food for thought.
