Well, I went to see my doctor a couple weeks ago. I have been feeling really bad lately and wondering if I am going backward instead of forward with this Candida treatment. I was doing so well for so long; I thought “I got this thing licked!” So what happened next? I started to get lax with my diet and treatment! I cut back with the antifungal and allowed my busy schedule to dictate my diet. Now I am paying for it!!

I have that chronic fatigue feeling, dizziness, muscle aches, trouble concentrating (trouble writing this article!) and some added symptoms of muscle twitching and sometimes fuzzy vision. UGH!!! I want this to be over! I went back to my books and one says I need to go back to Phase II Diet religiously. I think that was my problem to start with – I followed it RELIGIOUSLY and then got self-righteous! What’s God say? Pride comes before the fall. Here I am on the ground needing to be picked up again! Maybe when we are in a humble state we are so low we don’t have room to fall:)

I go back this week for the blood test results for anemia, vitamin B12, vitamin D, hormones, and who knows what else? I have been told to start a parasite cleanse again (I did that at the beginning of this Candida treatment) and of course watch the diet! No more excuses (my business mentor says they are just well planned lies! She’s right).

So here I am being vulnerable and wanting encouragement, when my purpose for this blog was to encourage others! Tell me some of your success stories!! PPLLLEASSSE!

How many of us drink our breakfasts? You know what I am talking about, a quick cup of joe or diet shake while walking out the door to work or if we are really good we make our own special blend of a healthy shake. How much better would that special blended shake be if it actually supplied our daily needed 5 to 9 servings of fruit and vegetables in it? You’ve probably done the protein shakes but have you ever thought about putting some veggies in it? Yuck right!? Somehow putting a piece of broccoli in with berries and protein doesn’t sound all that appetizing. But guess what, Uri International has figured out a way to get fruits, veggies, berries, nuts and seeds all into a great tasting powder that can be mixed with water, juice, or put in your favorite protein shake blend. How much better would you feel if your breakfast consisted of what your body needs, whole food fruit and veggies? I can tell you how you would feel….GREAT! We’re not talking Tony Tiger great we’re talking REALLY GREAT! Let’s just do a quick comparison of the average supplemental facts between a typical diet shake and then Uri Internationals ‘: Read the rest of this entry

coconut oil benefits-coconut-oil-candidaLearning about whole food can be a daunting task, there is so much to know about how the body works and what food promotes good health. There are so many books and opinions - who can you really believe? We really have to use good discernment in our search for knowledge. Last week I was talking with a group of women and they were curious how I had lost about 25 pounds in just a little over a months time. I of course began telling them about my struggle with Systemic and the very strict diet I should follow in order to regain proper balance in my body. What I didn’t know was one of the women in the group was a family practitioner. I had instantly liked this woman and respect her opinion on medical matters because I believe she is honest with all that she knows. I decided to ask her opinion on coconut oil since I am currently reading “The Miracle” by Bruce Fife. She instantly rejected it as anything good because of it being a saturated fat which has been known to be bad for the heart. It was so cool to be able to talk to her about it and explain a little of the theory of why it is actually very good for you according to this book. I am not sure I convinced her that was a good thing, in the small amount of time we had, (and I am only on chapter 4 of the book) but I am sure that I gave her some food for thought.

The Diet has been raising some questions with some of you. There are a lot of foods that I can’t eat that are a part of SAD (Standard American Diet – even its’ abbreviation is very telling), but that doesn’t mean I am doomed to starve! I would like to give you a brief overview of what is, some diet requirements, and a really disgusting test you can try at home to see if you may have a overgrowth problem.
is yeast, we all have it, and it’s on our skin in our mouth and in our intestines. Sadly it can become a very real problem when yeast and good bacteria in the intestine get out of balance. There are a lot of contributing factors involved with this imbalance. Antibiotic use is a big one, especially long term use like chronic sinus infections or acne medicine, but we also get it from meat and milk products. Some other contributors are birth-control pills, hormonal changes, medications, and even drinking chlorinated water, all can cause partial or total destruction of your friendly bacteria in the lower gut, but do not harm the . If you add to that a diet rich in food that feeds upon (sugar, carbs, refined food, and yeast) the grows hog wild!
What’s the solution? Starve out the while taking natural remedies that aggressively attacks it. The best diet starts with organic whole food. That means we need to go back to Little House on the Prairie days! Wikipedia says this of whole food: are those that are unprocessed and unrefined, or processed and refined as little as possible before being consumed. They typically do not contain added sugar, salt, fat, or chemicals. food: are produced according to a certain production standards, it means they were grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives. For animals, it means they were reared without the routine use of antibiotics and without the use of growth hormones. In most countries, produce must not be genetically modified. O.K. how many of us now want to start eating whole food? Grown without human waste, sewage sludge, radiation, and genetically modified?! Wha? Did you even know you were consuming food that had all that? But that is a whole other article.
