I love how God works. Nearly a year ago my husband joined Uri International because he was interested in the products but he was also looking for a business to work from home. I was not interested!! I was actually irritated! I saw it as a whole lot more work for me to do in helping him in this home business adventure. But God had a plan for me in Uri International.

He completely changed my heart about working this home based business! I have enjoyed meeting other people with the same goals for their family, and have learned so much with the business training that could be called, spiritual training. The people that I work with do not seperate business, family, and God! They do not prioritize business over the family or God, in fact it is the other way around! When was the last time your boss said “You need to spend more time with your family, and I want you to take some quiet time to examine yourself and be still before your God. Why don’t you just work 20 hours this week?” RIGHT! With this business, that is exactly what I would encourage people to do.

In a training seminar I attended in Portland a couple of weeks ago, they went over several laws in business that you must follow to be successful. One that hit me was on excuses and circumstances. I have lived most of my life being ruled by my circumstance and that was always my excuse for not getting things done. But did you know that an excuse is just a well planned lie!! Sounds horrible when you look at it that way, doesn’t it? Here’s what they said “It’s never the circumstances that determines your success. It’s what you DO in your current circumstances.” You see, we (as a person) are always the variable in every situation. We, get to determine how we react to circumstances and what we will do in them. This is what I am taking to heart from this conference “success is not convenient or fun! So trade excuses for results.” Look for the results you want in business and then repeat it.

Its like the joke we used to tell as a kid. “Pete and Repeat were sitting on the fence. Pete fell off, who was left?…..Repeat…..Pete and Repeat were sitting on the fence. Pete fell off, who was left?” :) No more excuses for me, just hard work and results!
